GIVING<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In a recent past church business meeting, we approved the establishment of a fund to add an associate pastor who would eventually become the senior pastor.\u00a0 I think this is an important and wise move on behalf of the future of the church.\u00a0\u00a0We are in a period of time when there is a shortage of pastors and there seems to be no relief in the immediate future.\u00a0 We have a significant number of pastors who are already retirement age or will be so within the next five years. Going in the direction planned would bring continuity and stability to the future of Blake\u2019s Chapel.\u00a0\u00a0We set a goal to try to secure two years salary.\u00a0 This would take pressure off the church and give that person an opportunity to develop in this position.\u00a0 We have set a goal to set aside $80,000.\u00a0 We have approximately $31,492.06 already.\u00a0 You can contribute to this fund by writing a check to Blake\u2019s Chapel and memo it: Associate Pastor\u2019s Fund.\u00a0\u00a0 We also have a category for this fund online on the website under the \u201cGiving\u201d tab.\u00a0\u00a0I have been approached twice by two pastors who have given names of people who they thought would be interested and would be a good fit for this position.\u00a0 I have thanked them for the information, but have told them that we have made a commitment to fund this position for two years before filling it.\u00a0\u00a0We ask the church to continue to be prayerful and if God so leads you to contribute to the future of the ministry of Blake\u2019s Chapel in this way, to do so.\u00a0 Thank you.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
