Welcome to the Hampstead, NC area. Your relationship with
God is the most important relationship that you will ever have
in your life. Whether you are new to the Hampstead area, a
longtime resident or just checking out websites, we at Blake’s
chapel want you to know that God really does love you.
We also want you to know that being part of a church family
is important too. Church is not something we do for God, it is
His and He loves it. Jesus told the Apostle Peter: “...on this
rock I will build my [Jesus] church and the gates of Hades will
not overcome it.” The Apostle Paul said to the church in the
Book of Colossians: “And he [Christ] is the head of the body,
the church."
I have talked with many people through the years that love
God, but have had a “bad” church experience. I am sorry
about that. Keep in mind that there is only one perfect
person who ever walked the face of the earth and that was
Jesus Christ. That means the church is made up of
imperfect people. We must learn to forgive as Christ
forgives us and worship and work together to the glory of
God. After all, how can I expect perfection from others when
I cannot give it myself? I am dependent upon God’s amazing
grace. Here is our challenge:
